Timeline

Components of the museum have been around for a long time. Its evolution from a childhood museum is told in the historical essay The story of how the museum came to be. Early versions were presented to the public in San Francisco Open Studios from 1989 to 1993.

October - Book Arts Jam at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California. and publication of Creating Your Own Personal Museum and The Tale of the Wandering Monk

February - Publication of Views of the Zymoglyphic Region
March - The museum participated in the first Obscura Day

Sept. - Publication of Sketches of the Zymoglyphic Region and the second edition of the guide to the museum
October - A mini-roadshow from the museum travels to the Book Arts Jam at Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, California

Crustacean diorama exhibited as part of the Curiosity Cabinet of the Collective Unconscious, Hive Gallery, Los Angeles. The cabinet was part of the Funhouse at Burning Man in September of 2005.
